Poisonous Bush

George W. Bush came to Guatemala! How lucky are we? How lucky were we to have to deal with roads and highways being closed to accommodate a man who could care less about this country? How lucky were we to have F16s (Dubya's security weapons of mass destruction of choice) flying overhead all weekend? How lucky were we to have one of the most ignorant, money-grubbing, dishonest leaders out there come here to tell Guatemalans the US is standing by them, even though his country has historically condoned and encouraged (and still condones and encourages) oppression against the poor in the name financial advancements? Note my fingers is pointed at my country, Canada, with regards to that last one, but that's a whole other rant.

But, my opinions could just be young and idealistic; those of a bleeding heart world traveller. Of course reading an article, like the one on the link below, might convince you that my opinion is one held the world over and maybe Hugo Chavez was right when he called Bush "El Diablo/The Devil."
